Fed up with cellphones ringing during Mass, four Catholic churches in Monterrey, Mexico, are taking extreme measures to silence them......The four churches are illegally jamming cellphone signals with Israeli-made transmitters, the same kind used to protect embassies and presidential motorcades from bugs and bombs detonated by phone.
I actually really love stories about when churches just lose all patience, because in a way that's when they become really creative.
Tha authorities, by the way, have turned a blind eye to these shannanigans, and I for one say God Speed to the Mexican churches!
Even I turn my cellphone off during church and I never turn my phone off. Or well, okay, I turn the ringer off anyway...
By the way, the awful pun in the title was from the original news story, so you can't blame me for this one.
